Book learning about Valve or Tube circuits

University taught me most of what I needed to know about the theory of electronics, but not a jot about valves. They had been dropped from the curriculum in the 1970’s in favour of these new integrated circuit things!

Sony Walkman WM-EX662 benefits from Aiwa parts

My Sony WM-EX662 Cassette Walkman just doesn’t seem to work as well as my similar WM-EX550.

Electrics for my home made guitar

Controls

My original plan to wind my own pickups was thwarted because I was unable to source the necessary magnets. Taking the easy, but expensive route I purchased a pair of the “must have” pickups of the time. Di-Marzio “Dual sound”. Sony TC-204SD Cassette Deck. Motor Refurbishment

All seemed well with this cassette deck after I changed the belts and calibrated speed.
